Tis’ the season for precious babies! We are overjoyed for our wonderful friends, Greg & Betsy, who are expecting their first child any day now! Their baby girl has already been betrothed to our little guy haha! We are hoping they might share the same birthday too! Greg grew up with my husband and they have remained so close over the years. Even though we don’t get to see them as much as we’d like since Greg has been owned by medical school the last few years, we are hoping that will soon change with graduation and the arrival of our future daughter-in-law. ;0) I had a blast doing their maternity session. They are so adorable together and Greg never stops laughing! Thanks guys and we are anxiously awaiting your exciting phone call! ……stay tuned!

Welcome to the world sweet Aubrey Lynn! Our good friends were blessed with their second beautiful daughter, Aubrey. Big sister Emma is so excited! It feels like yesterday I was just shooting Emma’s newborn pictures and now she is such a big girl! She did great with her new baby sister and is incredibly gentle and sweet with her. Aubrey was so cooperative and slept like a dream baby. I loved just getting to spend time with them and visit with their wonderful family who were visiting from out of town. :0)

Dusty and I were really excited to have the opportunity to preview and photograph a new wedding venue debuting in the valley this fall. It’s quite the little gem nestled quietly off the golf course at the the Legacy Resort in Phoenix. It is called Sierra Vista and it is an old house with a great lawn space for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. I love it’s rustic charm with worn brick walls, tall trees, and wooden fence surrounding the property. A dear friend of mine and her husband were gracious enough to dress up as our bride and groom for a photo shoot to showcase the property. It was definitely hot out, but they were such good sports! We look forward to shooting weddings there soon! Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot. :0)

I was blessed to help capture Chad & Nash’s wedding day in 2009 and now they are expecting a little blessing of their own! I am so honored they’ve asked me to help document some of the most significant moments in their lives. We had a such a great time doing their maternity shoot and now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first son. Seriously, have I said how much I love what I do lately?! Sometimes I get caught up in the stress of running a business and all the work I spend behind the computer, but then I am quickly reminded what an amazing job and opportunity I have to build relationships and share life’s joys with clients like Chad & Nash. So thank you guys, sOoO much, for sharing your lives with me. I can’t wait to meet your baby boy (I’ll keep his name a surprise :0) ) and do his newborn photos!

I was so excited to photograph little Lauren Lucille! She was perfect. She even gave us her big, sleepy smiles! :0) Congratulations to Abbey & Craig for their beautiful baby girl!

After Kylie’s 1 year session, mom thought it would be great to get some playful shots at the splash pad with one of Kylie’s best buds, Marek. They were absolutely adorable together! I just love how Kylie wasn’t shy about eating bubbles off the pad! :0)
Thought it would be great to do a series of mini sessions at a local splash pad for some end of the summer fun! It was also a wonderful way to stay cool in the blazing heat! Grant is a friend of ours and we can’t believe how big he’s getting! After doing his newborn, 1st & 2nd year photos, we thought it would be nice to get some action shots in the water for his 3 year old pictures. :0) He was a little shy at first, but warmed right up and wasn’t afraid to get nice and wet! He really loved sitting on the fountain while the water shot up around him. :0)
Little Kylie is ONE! Yay! We had a blast doing her one year session and what better way to end it than digging into her own cupcake?! She definitely seemed to enjoy it! She had a monkey themed party and mom brought along some of the great decorations she had including her aDoRaBlE birthday outfit and personalized name banner. I couldn’t get over her little tutu and pink Roxy sandals! I am in serious trouble if I have a girl one day. :0) Recently discovering her world from a whole new perspective since beginning to walk, she was definitely on the go! It was great chasing her around. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

I was so excited to help welcome precious Tatum to our family!…so was her big sister Ava! It feels like I was just doing Ava’s newborn pictures and now she is a big toddler going to preschool! Congratulations to my stepbrother and his fiance for the birth of their second daughter, Tatum. I was blessed to meet her moments after her birth as we did some photos at the hospital. She also did amazing at her newborn shoot and slept like a champ! Thanks for allowing me to help capture such special family moments!

With the launch of my business page on Facebook in May, I ran a Mother’s Day contest for a free kids session. I asked mom’s to post one of their favorite funny or heartwarming mommy moments and the post with the most likes won a free session. Sawana shared a hilarious story involving running around all day unaware she had poop on her face! It was hard to top with 48 likes and Sawana won a session for her little guy Gunner. He was so much fun to photograph! I’m convinced he will grow up to be an engineer of some sort one day…he was so inquisitive and focused! He just loved playing with the rocks and exploring, but definitely made us work for a little grin. :0) Oh, and check out those piercing blue eyes….so intense!

Thought this was too funny not to include! Love his expression!

What kid doesn’t love eating rocks?!
